“Helping Writers Finally Get That Book Out of Them!”

Hundreds of people have a book in them. A few them have expressed it, while others secretly hold the book on the inside of them and only dream and pretend that the book will one day come out of them. But most people simply talk about writing a book someday.

That someday is here! My name is Fon James and I help writers who have a strong desire to finally Get That Book Out of Them…actually get it out.

I do that through my step-by-step process which allows one to go from not knowing how to get their book written and published, to becoming fully aware of what it takes to become highly successful author, like myself. Writing a book is a huge undertaking and so many have done it, but there are so  many more who have a book in them, waiting to be released to the world. That’s where I come in.

I know exactly where writers are coming from because I am a writer. I’ve been writing since I was a teenager and while it takes determination, talent, and a true gift to be a writer, more importantly, it takes discipline.

My mission is to work with writers who know they are not disciplined enough to do it on their own, but need a book coach that will walk them down a path she’s traveled twice and continuous to travel with her future book projects.

I know this path! I have been recognized as a bestselling author of two fiction novels: 1) Back and Forth 2) Forward March. Additionally, I authored  A Mother, Her Son, and The Father, a short story featured in The Triumph of My Soul, an inspirational anthology. As an author who took 10 years to publish her first book, I know what it’s like to have a strong desire, but not enough discipline to get the job done. That’s why I have focused my business on helping writers reach their dream of becoming an author.

Known to my clients, friends and family as the optimistic and energetic Chief Encouragement Officer, my three literary works serve as proof of what you can do when you let your someday be today.

Here’s a little more about me before I started my mission as a book coach:

As a former journalist, my full-name byline has appeared in numerous daily newspapers including: The Houston Chronicle, Contra Costa Times, and The Cleveland Plain-Dealer. I have also written articles for local Houston publications including Westchase Today and the Houston Chronicle’s neighborhood weekly edition, This Week. Additionally, I worked as writer/editor for Intele-Card News and H Magazine.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Jackson State University, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix (Houston Campus), and I received my professional coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, an ICF certified coach training program, which allows me to hold the designation of Certified Professional Coach (CPC).  And just to go the extra mile, I am also an Energy Leadership Index Master Practictioner and holds the designation of ELI-MP. This means I help you figure out what’s blocking you from getting that book out of you!

Happily married with one daughter, my essential advice to future authors is this: “Don’t let that book stay in your head. Release it! Your readers are waiting on you!
